More Than Enough – Day 5

Thursday, April 11, 2013

Prayerfully read Proverbs 4: 18-27.  Talk with the Lord about the important truths you learn from this life-changing passage.  Re-read it.  In what areas does the Word reveal that He is “more than enough”?  Father, I am learning to trust You with my whole heart.  I give to You my time, talents, and treasure.  Use me and my resources however You choose!  Lord, show me how to “guard my heart”.  Deal with any seeds of resentment, unforgiveness or bitterness.  Lord, your mercy, grace, and forgiveness are “more than enough” for me to live with a pure heart.  Lord, I pray for those who have hurt me, and I bless them.  ..bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you (Luke 6:28)

  1. Lord help us to keep our heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life…..for out of the abundance of the heart , the mouth speak ….so may our heart be full of YOU and well-guarded ……and may our thoughts be the thoughts of the diligent which tends only to ” more than enought”

  2. Lord keep our heart with all diligence , for out of it are the issues of life …..may our hearts be full of YOU and well-guarded by Your Holy Spirit , so our thoughts are the thoughts of the diligent which tends to plenteousness ( more than enough)

  3. These thoughts were communicated to me while I was asleep, just before I awoke this morning (4/11/13).

The Lord reminds us of the need to be very careful with our words, as they do impact the realm of the spirit. Our behavior toward each other ought to be markedly different from that of the world, for His Spirit dwells within us and we are very precious to Him. Our image of each other ought to be similar to that of a china bowl, very delicate but valuable. We are reminded to choose our words carefully.

    Some additional insights…
The information we are trying to obtain or in the process of conveying, the work we are attempting to accomplish is not as important as the one with whom we are interacting, because it is the process (of interaction) that determines the spiritual quality of the fruit. Among other factors, it is the “soil” together with the existing “weather conditions” that influences the quality and/or fragrance of what we are intending to produce. The entire package is what is offered up to the Lord. The contents cannot be separated.

  4. ABOUT GUARDING OUR HEARTS:
Philippians 4:4-7 = Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, WILL GUARD YOUR HEARTS and your minds in Christ Jesus.

  5. I’ve been reading and studying each day. When I read this scripture in Proverbs I recalled decisions I’ve made recently to be more in line with God’s word with all my activities, and I felt very confirmed by this word from Proverbs. I felt as though I was receiving my Father’s approval for choices on the path I’m choosing, just like I would feel when I was a young girl when my father, who was a wonderful person, who voice his approval of my activities. Then I felt prompted in my spirit to re-read Psalms 1. I feel joy to have made choices that allow a more intimate walk with God, so much joy.
